Qualify flight filtration and porous media with data from the actual lot

Pore characterisation of sintered flight filters, vents and getter media from 0.01 µm at up to 500 psi.

Model: MPA-100 Pro Micropore · Industry: Space Research

Technology principle

Flight hardware is qualified against a pore specification, and the specification has to be demonstrated on the lot that will fly — not inherited from a supplier certificate written against a different production run. Fine sintered grades sit below the range most porometers reach, which is where a 0.01 µm floor and 500 psi capability stop being specification padding and start being the requirement.

Applications

  • Propellant and feed-system filters
  • Vent and restrictor media
  • Getter and porous substrates
  • Qualification of imported elements

Key capabilities

  • Lightweight, compact and ergonomically engineered, the M19 Micropore Analyzer (MPA-100) pairs a 15" capacitive touchscreen with enhanced pressure- and flow-control hardware, so operators run a full space research test sequence with minimal training and shorter cycle times. Available in aluminum or stainless-steel variants, it ships with real-time remote support, USB connectivity and remote-control automation. Domestic manufacturing in India and the USA keeps maintenance cost and downtime low, and a 2-year extended warranty is available.
  • Modern, low-training user interface
  • Lightweight and portable chassis
  • IP65 rated · GAMP 5 compliant
  • Three secure user levels — Operator, Supervisor and Administrator
  • Versatile connectivity — USB, Ethernet and Wireless LAN
  • Flexible reporting — built-in thermal printer or network / PDF / CSV export

Frequently asked questions

Can you measure a machined coupon rather than a standard disc?

Yes. Chamber geometry is built to the specimen, and machined coupons from a production billet are a common case for sintered-metal work. Give us the dimensions and we will confirm the chamber.

Does the instrument handle the high pressures fine sintered media need?

The MPA-100 Pro operates to 500 psi, which is what reaching 0.01 µm requires under the Washburn relation. The lower models top out at 100 and 50 psi and will not resolve the finest grades.
