Keep process filtration specifications meaningful across supplier changes

Bubble point, mean flow pore and distribution on process filters, sintered media and catalyst supports.

Model: MPA-100 Micropore · Industry: Chemical

Technology principle

Chemical process filtration is specified at design and then purchased on price for the next twenty years. Each supplier change is an opportunity for the delivered pore structure to drift away from the specification while every certificate still reads correct. Measuring pore structure on incoming lots is how a plant keeps a specification enforceable rather than decorative.

Applications

  • Process and polishing filters
  • Catalyst supports and bed media
  • Sintered metal and ceramic elements
  • Solvent-compatible media development

Key capabilities

  • Lightweight, compact and ergonomically engineered, the M19 Micropore Analyzer (MPA-100) pairs a 15" capacitive touchscreen with enhanced pressure- and flow-control hardware, so operators run a full chemical test sequence with minimal training and markedly shorter cycle times. Available in aluminum or stainless-steel variants, it ships with real-time remote support, USB connectivity and remote-control automation. Domestic manufacturing in India and the USA keeps maintenance cost and downtime low, and a 2-year extended warranty is available.
  • Modern, low-training user interface
  • Lightweight and portable chassis
  • IP65 rated · GAMP 5 compliant
  • Three secure user levels — Operator, Supervisor and Administrator
  • Versatile connectivity — USB, Ethernet and Wireless LAN
  • Flexible reporting — built-in thermal printer or network / PDF / CSV export

Frequently asked questions

Our media is used with aggressive solvents. Does the test fluid matter?

It matters a great deal. Pore size is computed from the wetting liquid's surface tension and contact angle, so the fluid must wet your medium completely and must not attack it. Selecting the right test fluid for your material is part of method setup, and our lab team will validate it on your specimen.

Can we run this in a plant QC lab rather than a central lab?

Yes. The instrument runs from its own touch interface with end-to-end automation, so a routine acceptance method does not need a specialist operator once it is configured and the SOP is written.
